CONNECTIVITY USA

On the 22nd February 2023, EMG announced the appointment of accomplished industry executive Nathan Spencer as CEO of EMG Connectivity in the USA. Nathan will lead the expansion and strategy of EMG’s RF and wireless camera execution in the North American market, develop its roadmap, and be responsible for recruiting a world-class delivery team in the US.

He will have a particular focus on the further development and market penetration of RF, 5G, and other connectivity services in which EMG specialises. EMG Connectivity is the business unit into which all of EMG’s RF services have recently been consolidated. Nathan will be based at EMG’s American HQ at the Trilith Studios near Atlanta, GA.

Nathan Spencer
Connectivity USA CEO

Joined the television industry in 1992 pioneering the use of mini cameras and live transmissions in motorsport.

1998 – 2008 – Ran his own RF facilities hire company working alongside EMG Connectivity (formally known as Broadcast RF) in London, including the delivery of the Doha Asian Games in 2006 for Broadcast RF.

  • Moved permanently to the USA in 2007 and worked on many television and movie productions such as:
    • MOVIE Wireless Video Assist Production: ‘The Avengers’, ‘Mission Impossible 4’, ‘ The Dark Knight Rises’, ‘Inception’, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, ‘Dawn of the Planet of The Apes’, ‘The Bourne Legacy’ and many others.
    • LIVE TV Wireless Video/Audio Productions:  Superbowl, Boston Marathon, Presidential Debates, CONCACAF Gold Cup, Summer/Winter Olympics, UK and US Election Coverage as well as President and Royal visits around the world.

With more than 30 years of experience of using RF in TV, Film and Special Event Coverage, Nathan is the perfect balance between a technical, operations and commercial professional.
